| A sea of "semolina" moves in waves as the warm spring breeze blows across the Umbrian fields. Beyond is an abandoned farm house set amid an array of colorful trees. Some of the underpainting may be seen in this pastel. I use the split complement of the final color. The foliage for example: red/purple under cool green shadow areas and red/orange under sunlit green areas. The surface I use for painting is ArtSpectrum Colourfix sand board. |
