This is an intentionally lightstruck portrait of two blond children in a yellow room. The tones of the whole portrait are muted and delicate. Their lustrous blond hair is beautifully modeled, showing all the delicate colors that are necessary to make the hair a realistic, soft and shiny foil for their childish and inquisitive faces. In a relaxed and unposed look, Caporale captures their pastel surroundings with delicacy and grace. The two subjects appear to be caught in the middle of just being children.
