This portrait of Scudder was composed at the home of his grandparents who own a fabulous collection of folk art. I am thrilled for the opportunity to create detailed backgrounds using personal items of the client's choice that we feel would enhance the portrait. The contrast of the deep blue/green cupboard and dark furniture created a striking contrast to his youthful complexion.
