I have an ongoing fascination with the harbor at Rockport, Massachusetts. Frequently I sketch and photograph the colorful boats used for fishing that are moored in the harbor. Often the boats are used for ferrying the people out to the larger boats. The undulation of the boats is caused by the tides and the constant movement of waves in and out of the harbor. The boats tip and rock into different configurations. I often photograph them, as I did with this picture, when I found the corners of the boats in this fascinating position.
