| Searching to create a gift for my daughter's second wedding, I started out using recycled materials as my own personal statement of environmental responsibility. Very quickly, the three dimensional white-on-white painting became reminiscent of a wedding cake. It was an easy leap to personalize it with first names and the wedding date. Because each is unique, these have become quite popular as gifts for first (or second or third) weddings as well as wedding anniversaries. As one of the recipients told me with a smile, giving recycled materials a new coat of paint is a tasteful way of saying, "Love is lovelier the second time around." |
