Title: The F Word: Feminism Now
Sponsor/Venue: ARC Gallery and Educational Foundation
Awards: None
Juror: Jeanne Dunning
Eligibility: All media considered. As ARC was founded in the 70's during the height of the Feminist Art Movement, we have decided to organize a tribute to feminist exhibitions. Rather than revisit the history of Feminist Art and its early leaders, ARC is choosing to celebrate the gallery's feminist history by examining what else Feminist Art is. That is, rather than reducing feminism's meaning to one familiar artist or era, ARC would like to explore what feminist art was, what it has come to be, and where it is going. ARC is searching for work from anyone interested in this subject, national or international, all genders. Please see website for further information.
