Anyone who knows me knows that I love flowers and love to garden. To me the American Garden is a melting pot as is American Society. We appreciate flowers from all corners of the Earth, and people as well. In these two paintings this was my theme (see also Americana Floral I). The exotic paired with the seemingly ordinary. The choice of pottery for containers was intended to represent the hard to break demeanor of the American people, and our appreciation of beauty as well as usefulness.
