This painting was developed to honor the passing of a friend whose musical talent was appreciated by all who knew him. I believe as humans our enjoyment of making music as well as our appreciation of listening to music transcends our humanity and reaches deep into our spirits. It is a powerful tool that can affect our mood in many ways. It can brighten our day. It can inspire us. It can help us remember special moments in our lives. God's gift of Music even reaches us through nature in the beautiful songs of the birds. Their chorus brightens even the darkest day. Music is one of our connections with Heaven, remember the Angel Chorus announced the birth of Jesus. What would our world be like without "The Gift of Music"?
