Watercolor Energies and Composition
June 29 - July 2, 2015 — Frank Webb is one of the nation's premier watercolor teachers and brings enthusiasm and energy to his classes, making painting an exhilarating enterprise. "My work proceeds from on-the-spot graphite drawings made from a lifetime of travels. Each drawing is edited, fused with design principles, and used as the model. With large flat brushes and plenty of water I approach the paper in a slam-bang initial wash, and end with the caress of a butterfly wing." Visit website

The Art of Landscape Painting
June 30 - July 2, 2015 — This workshop is suitable for beginners, intermediates, and advanced students who work with oils, acrylics, or pastels and wish to master the challenges of painting the landscape. Beautiful as they may be, landscapes are often expansive, complex and constantly changing. This makes tasks like massing, simplification, color, and lighting very challenging for the painter. Each day we will focus on a different aspect of landscape painting to learn proportion, light, energy, value, and color. There will be a short lecture each morning. The rest of the day will be spent outdoors creating a new painting. The small size of the class will allow for plenty of individual attention.
