Portrait Painting with Jason Espey (Incammanati approach)

The Drama of The Figure
August 20-24, 2014 (9am-4pm) — Kevin Beilfuss, graduate of the American Academy of Art in Chicago and OPA Regional and National award recipient, comes to Atlanta for a five day figure workshop. Lighting, color, symbolism will be explored. Basic figure drawing skills required. In this workshop Kevin will emphasize a more intuitive way to look at drawing and painting. Learning to see 'impressionistically' -the ability to 'suggest', rather than 'render' the subject will be explored. This approach involves many quick drawing and painting exercises from both the nude, and clothed figure, as well as having students work on more finished paintings during the course of the workshop.
