Watercolor Workshop with Judy Morris
March 18-28, 2013
Guatemala is the land of volcanoes, cloud forests, coffee plantations and colonial cities. Rich in folklore and mystical Mayan villages, it has beckoned artists from all over the world to its varied landscape. We will spend 4 nights in Panajachel whose only two streets bustle with vendors and artisans, take a boat ride across the deeply blue Lake Atitlan to the tiny village of Santiago de Atitlan, go on a day trip to Chichicastenango, and spend 4 nights in Antigua. Cobblestone streets, women washing clothes under the arches, and brilliant colored houses are a perfect setting for our paintings. Price includes tuition, 10 nights (dbl occ., but singles are available), All breakfasts, 5 dinners, transportation within Guatemala by private buses, hotel tips and taxes.
