American Impressionist Society 20th Annual National Juried Exhibition

American Impressionist Society Inc. announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, September 19 - October 2, 2019 at Salmagundi Club in New York, New York. Over $70,000 in cash and merchandise awards including $12,000 cash for Best of Show. Juror: Kevin Macpherson, AISM. Oil, pastel, acrylic, gouache, watercolor accepted. No mixed media, photography, digital or any other media. No digitally manipulated work, painted giclee prints or any other type of reproductions, no manipulated or painted over photos. Maximum size (excluding frame) is 900 square inches, with the maximum length on the longest side of 30 inches (example: 30x30=900). Maximum frame width 4 inches. Work must be original in concept and execution, impressionistic in style, must have been completed within the last three years. Work done in any class and/or under the guidance of an instructor is not eligible for entry. Work painted from reference photos must be created from the artist's own photographs, not from any other photo source, copyrighted or not. Entries must not violate any copyrights. The Delaware Watercolor Society announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, July 2-30, 2019 at The Gallery at Nassau Valley Vineyards and Winery in Lewes, Delaware. 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place and 2 Merit Awards. Connected: VSA Emerging Young Artists 2019

The Kennedy Center Office of VSA & Accessibility in Washington, DC announces a call to artists for a juried competition and exhibition of work by artists with disabilities, ages 16-25. Composition in Concert

The Da Vinci Art Alliance announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, July 9 - Sept. 20 at the Lightbox Film Center in Philadelphia, PA. Juror: Bill Timmins. Throughout the month of July, the Lightbox Film Center at International House Philadelphia will present Shimmering Synths: The Film Music of Tangerine Dream. For over five decades the German electronic music group has created dreamy, minimalist soundscapes and iconic film scores. To a greater extent, the film score embodies the harmonious relationship between music and visual art forms. The interaction between the two has become an integral part of art theory and history, especially since the 20th century. Even when visual art and music do not overtly influence one another, they often share abstract qualities or similar external influences, such as cultural innovation, political movements, or technological developments. Composition in Concert will accompany Lightbox's programming as an exhibition showcasing visual artwork informed by or in conversation with music. *NYS Arts Professionals* Submit Your Art for Take Back the Walls

Calling all NYS Arts Professionals! Rochester Contemporary Art Center (RoCo) announces Take Back the Walls, a juried exhibition of artworks by New York State artists who also work in museums, galleries and arts organizations. This new, statewide project will highlight the many talented creatives employed by New York's numerous arts institutions and galleries, yet are often behind the scenes. RoCo invites employees of museums, visual art spaces and galleries to come into the light and take back the walls to which they have dedicated so much. Anyone who is employed by an arts organization in New York State is invited to submit work for display. 2020 Solo and Group Exhibition Proposals

The Exhibitions Committee for the Rehoboth Art League is in the process of organizing solo and group exhibitions for 2020. This is a very competitive program as RAL can only accept a limited number of proposals each year. Artworks in any media will be reviewed. The RAL is situated in the town of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, a highly traveled area not only by the residents of this and the expanding surrounding communities, but also by art patrons from the Washington DC, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and New York metropolitan areas. Over 29,000 people participate in Rehoboth Art League programs annually. Special exhibitions have played an important part of our programming since the league's beginning, in 1938. Lacawac Artists' Residencies 2019

Lacawac Sanctuary and Field Station is a nature preserve, biological field station, and environmental education center located near Lake Ariel, PA in the Pocono Mountains. Each year professional or aspiring artists are selected to spend time at Lacawac Sanctuary for either one or two weeks. During the residencies, artists are free to produce their artwork using the inspiration of the beauty that is Lacawac. Housing and limited studio space is provided. Artists are provided: a comfortable, rustic room in the Historic Watres Lodge or the Ice House; access to 545 acres which includes a glacial lake, 2 ponds, shore access to Lake Wallenpaupack, ledges natural area, and forests; interaction with scientists conducting research at Lacawac (May thru early August). $10 application fee. Wayne Art Center in Wayne, PA is now accepting artist applications for Art Quilt Elements 2020. The 14th exhibition of this internationally acclaimed juried show will be held March 30 - May 2, 2020 and seeks to attract a unique collection of contemporary fine art quilts from around the world.
