The Edge Effect: Open Juried Exhibition

The Katonah Museum of Art in Katonah, NY announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, June 30 - September 22, 2019. Awards will be granted to the top three submissions. Artist Residency at the Brookline Arts Center

The Brookline Arts Center is seeking proposals for an eight-week artist residency (July 26-September 20) in our historic firehouse turned art center in Brookline, MA. One dynamic solo artist or small collaborative group will have the opportunity to experiment and grow their body of work with the support of the BAC. Selected artist(s) will receive a stipend of $1,000. The residency will provide five weeks of artistic development and culminate with a three-week public exhibition. All artists residing in United States are eligible to apply. Artist(s) are expected to create a site-specific, original installation or series of work for our gallery while in residence at the BAC. International Small Art Phenomenon 6x6x2019 - Call for Artists!

Rochester Contemporary Art Center's (RoCo) international small art phenomenon returns for the twelfth year! Help us once again to build an incredible exhibition of thousands of artworks made and donated by celebrities, international and local artists, designers, college students, children, and you! Each artwork must be 6 by 6 inches (15 by 15 centimeters) or mounted to a 6-by-6 inch board. All artworks are displayed anonymously, so they should be signed only on the back. All entries will be accepted and exhibited both in the gallery and online until July 15, 2019, and all will be on sale to the public for $20 each to benefit RoCo. Rhode Island Center for Photographic Arts (RICPA) is looking for work in series (5 image minimum) for its Photo Stories Open Call, juried by Michael Itkoff, Co-founder of Daylight Books. Michael interned at the Annie Leibovitz Studio, Aperture Foundation and worked at Rizzoli International Publications. The exhibition will be on display June 20 - July 12. $500 in cash prizes. One image can speak a thousand words, a properly sequenced set of photographs can tell a fantastic story. Artists are invited to apply for the Baltimore Fine Craft Show, Aug. 29 - Sept. 1, 2019 at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, MD. Jurors: Michael Monroe, Lloyd Herman and Carol Sauvion. All work submitted must be original creations. The Craft Show is committed to presenting the most thoughtful, original, and skilled American & International craft and design objects. Eligible media: Basketry, ceramics, decorative fiber, furniture, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media, paper, wearable art, and wood. The artist should apply in the category that best describes his/her medium. For instance, a jewelry artist using metal should not apply in the metal category. Other media not listed above may be included in mixed media when combined with one of the Show's established media. If applying under mixed media, please explain in artist statement why mixed media is appropriate. Unacceptable media categories: Objects created by 3D printing technology, paintings, prints, graphics, photography, mass-produced work, soap, or objects made from commercial kits. Lacawac Artists' Residencies 2019

Lacawac Sanctuary and Field Station is a nature preserve, biological field station, and environmental education center located near Lake Ariel, PA in the Pocono Mountains. Each year professional or aspiring artists are selected to spend time at Lacawac Sanctuary for either one or two weeks. During the residencies, artists are free to produce their artwork using the inspiration of the beauty that is Lacawac. Housing and limited studio space is provided. Artists are provided: a comfortable, rustic room in the Historic Watres Lodge or the Ice House; access to 545 acres which includes a glacial lake, 2 ponds, shore access to Lake Wallenpaupack, ledges natural area, and forests; interaction with scientists conducting research at Lacawac (May thru early August). $10 application fee.
