The Bennett Prize

The Pittsburgh Foundation & The Muskegon Museum of Art (MMA) in Muskegon, MI announce a call to artists for The Bennett Prize. Ten (10) finalists will each receive $1,000 to participate in a traveling exhibition. One woman receives $50,000 and a solo exhibition. Jurors: Steven Alan Bennett (The Bennett Prize), Art Martin (The Muskegon Museum of Art), Andrea Kowch (Artist), Maria Tomasula (University of Notre Dame). Open only to living women artists who: Are eighteen (18) years or older, Reside in the United States (at least part of the year), Will submit work (and work for any exhibition) that does not have to cross an international border to reach MMA, Have primary practice as the creation of original paintings in the genre of figurative realism, Are currently pursuing, or intend to pursue, a career as a full-time painter and will not be a student during The Prize residency. Artists must have works available for exhibition and travel from Feb. 1, 2019 through at least the end of 2021. Embracing Our Differences International Art Exhibit Celebrating Diversity

Art is a powerful tool to evoke social change. Since 2004, Embracing Our Differences has used the power of art and prose to promote diversity. One way we accomplish this is through our annual international art exhibition in Sarasota's Bayfront Park, January 19 - March 14, 2019. 2019 Palm Beach Fine Craft Show

Artists are invited to apply for the Palm Beach Fine Craft Show, February 15-17, 2019 at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach, Florida. Jurors: Michael Monroe, Lloyd Herman and Carol Sauvion. All work submitted must be original creations. The Craft Show is committed to presenting the most thoughtful, original, and skilled American & International craft and design objects. Eligible media: Basketry, ceramics, decorative fiber, furniture, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media, paper, wearable art, and wood. The artist should apply in the category that best describes his/her medium. For instance, a jewelry artist using metal should not apply in the metal category. Other media not listed above may be included in mixed media when it is combined with one of the Show's established media. If applying under mixed media, please explain in artist statement why mixed media is appropriate. Unacceptable media categories: Objects created by 3D printing technology, paintings, prints, graphics, photography, mass-produced work, soap, or objects made from commercial kits. Tucson JCC - Annual Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition

In 2009, the Tucson Jewish Community Center in Tucson, Arizona established a Sculpture Garden on its campus with a four-fold purpose in mind: to craft a public space that celebrates the appreciation of sculpture; to create an atmosphere of tranquility; to promote educational opportunities; and to enhance community fellowship. The JCC's garden currently contains over 40 sculptures by local, national, and international sculptors, ranging from a few feet tall to over 30 feet in height. All materials should be appropriate for an outdoor, desert environment. Sculptures must be for sale (65% commission to the artist, 35% to the Tucson JCC). Artists may submit up to three entries, although only one may be chosen for the exhibition (March 24, 2019 - March 1, 2020). Each selected entry will receive a $500 honorarium. There is no entry fee. 14th International Drawing Annual

Manifest seeks submissions for the 14th International Drawing Annual (INDA), which includes $2,000 in cash awards with a $1200 First Prize! Every three years the annual award winning INDA collection of recent contemporary drawings is meant to provide a resource to the world to help investigate the question of "what is exceptional drawing?" Submissions are expected to vary, including a range of drawing types, from the most academic to the most experimental, but all with some relevance to the artists' honest understanding of the practice of "drawing." Buffalo Creek Art Center artist residency

Buffalo Creek Art Center in Gardnerville, NV is a new summer artist residency for three-dimensional artists in metal, wood, ceramic and multimedia with an emphasis on traditional figurative and abstract works that encompass aesthetics and craftsmanship. Artist ages 18 and older may apply as well as international artists as long as they speak English. The residency starts June 1 and ends October 30. Artist can choose between a four, six or eight-week stay. Artists will be given free room and workspace and use of all the equipment. 2019 Baltimore Fine Craft Show

Artists are invited to apply for the Baltimore Fine Craft Show, Aug. 29 - Sept. 1, 2019 at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Jurors: Michael Monroe, Lloyd Herman and Carol Sauvion. All work submitted must be original creations. The Craft Show is committed to presenting the most thoughtful, original, and skilled American & International craft and design objects. Eligible media: Basketry, ceramics, decorative fiber, furniture, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media, paper, wearable art, and wood. The artist should apply in the category that best describes his/her medium. For instance, a jewelry artist using metal should not apply in the metal category. Other media not listed above may be included in mixed media when it is combined with one of the Show's established media. If applying under mixed media, please explain in artist statement why mixed media is appropriate.
