2019 Sweet Pea Festival

Artists are invited to apply for the Sweet Pea Festival, held August 2-4, 2019 at Lindley Park in Bozeman, Montana. Only handcrafted original work by the selling artist is acceptable. Kits or commercially produced work will not be allowed. The jurying will be divided into media categories. The jury will select a proportional mixture of the categories. All artists wishing to apply for booth space are required to apply online and submit four digital photos. These images should display the type and quality of recent work that will be sold at the Festival. Only one artist in one medium will be allowed per booth. This does not exclude an additional medium which is an integral part of the primary medium such as wood frames on photographs or buckles on belts. A team of two people producing items jointly in one medium may apply as a single exhibitor if they have been working together on a regular basis. Artist must be at their booth during the Festival. Arm Candy - The Art of Wearable Food

ACCI Gallery in Berkeley, California is pleased to accept submissions of food-based jewelry, couture, and other forms of edible bodily adornment for "Arm Candy" an exhibition of edible ornamentation, June 25 to July 16, 2019. There is a great similarity in discussing food and art as the adjectives used to describe them are easily interchangeable: heavenly, enticing, disgusting, beautiful, tender, dazzling, dull, fragile, weak, strong, elegant, harsh, and delicious. The language of one is the language of the other. This exhibit seeks to challenge artists to work outside their norm or comfort zone in the creation of jewelry, couture, or bodily adornment that utilizes actual food. Representations of food will not be considered. Work must have been conceived with or include actual foodstuffs. A catalogue of the exhibition will be prepared with a complimentary copy available to all accepted artists and additional copies available for purchase. Juried Exhibition: "Current"

Silver City CLAY Festival seeks entries for a juried exhibit, July 15-28, 2019 at Roots Cellar Arts at Seedboat Center for the Arts in Silver City, New Mexico. First Place $1000, second place $500, third place $300. Juror: Sunshine Cobb. Open to all artists 18 years and older, residing in the U.S. and internationally. Free-standing pieces can not be taller than 24" high or heavier than 20 lbs. Must be stable and pedestal ready. Wall pieces can not be heavier than 10 lbs. Must be ready to be securely hung. Entries must be made of natural clay. There are no restrictions as to finish or technique. Entries must include: Dimensions of each piece, the clay body used, and firing & glazing technique. The Midway Art Association (MAA) is pleased to announce the 14th annual Wasatch Plein Air Paradise (WPAP) painting competition and exhibition, held June 22 - July 4, 2019 at the Midway Town Hall (Midway, Utah). Wasatch Plein Air Paradise is the largest painting event in Utah with over 100 artists of all levels from Utah and surrounding areas competing for over $15,000 in cash and purchase awards. Fish and Wildlife Conservation Art Contest and Show

The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife would like to invite artists to participate in our annual Fish and Wildlife Conservation Art Contest. The winning artists will receive a $2,000 award, and the winning artwork will be featured on collector's stamps, art prints, and other merchandise (e.g., wine label). The department will organize an art show in November where all entries will be viewed by the public. Artist name and contact information will be displayed for all artists that are interested. All ages and skill levels welcome, and there is no entry fee. All entries, except the winning artwork, will be mailed back to the artist.
