Join artist Leo Kahl for a fun day learning how to paint in acrylic with a palette knife. The quick drying time of acrylic paint allows for spontaneous and energetic layering. Class will include morning and afternoon demonstrations with students replicating the instructor’s process. All levels are welcome. Bring your own supplies. Materials Required: Stretched Canvas 18 x 24. A basic set of acrylic, tube paints. Wax paper disposable pallet, a modest assortment of varying size and style pallet knives, water container, rags, several small brushes and optional acrylic gel modelling paste.

A day of negative painting! Our first task will be to make a mess! On acrylic paper, we will put down colors, maybe add some textures and allow it to dry. Then we will “look” for our flowers & paint “behind” them to create our vase & flowers. Additional colors will be added to enhance our focal point & create clarity. All artist levels are welcome!

Acrylic Pour Painting is an exciting and innovative way to make beautiful abstract images. Learn techniques, tips and tricks to create amazing, unique pieces. In this class you will create a painting of cherry blossoms. We will use a variety of techniques, such as blowing, swiping, and balloon press. All levels welcome. No prior experience necessary. Please wear clothing that can get stained. We will provide aprons. It might be best to tie back your hair and leave jewelry at home! All materials will be supplied for a $20 fee.

Join Joan with some friends for a fun evening of painting! Bring your adult beverages and some snacks. This is a beginner's class that will provide step by step instructions using acrylic paints. Students will work with the instructor to complete one painting during the workshop. The instructor will teach techniques using paint brush strokes, line, form and blending applications.
