Summer 2015 Studio Visit Competition (Posted: 6/5/15) -- Studio Visit is a series of juried artist books produced by the publishers of New American Paintings. Each high quality volume of Studio Visit features approximately 150 artists. Selected artists will be given one full-color page that includes an image, contact information and a brief artist statement. Studio Visit will be received by two thousand carefully selected curators and gallerists throughout the country as well as a growing subscriber base of collectors and art enthusiasts. 2016 Hunting Art Prize (Posted: 7/31/15) -- Hunting PLC seeks entries for the 2016 Hunting Art Prize, giving artists in Texas an opportunity to vie for a $50,000 prize. The competition is open to artists who are legal residents of Texas and at least 18 years of age or older by Aug. 1, 2015. Image and Illusion: Constructing Perceptions of U.S. Masculinity (Posted: 6/11/15) -- The Know Art Project, in conjunction with the Gender Studies Program and the Art Department of Slippery Rock University (Slippery Rock, PA, USA), seeks entries for a non-juried exhibition, March 21-25, 2016 at the Martha Gault Art Gallery. International male artists (excluding U.S. citizens) are asked to interpret how they perceive the masculinity of the U.S. male. Exhibition guidelines require artworks to be 5in x 7in (13cmx18cm).
