Portraits Call For Entries (Posted: 1/21/13) --
Linus Galleries seeks entries for an online art exhibition. We're looking for portraits, both in traditional and non-traditional styles and mediums, that communicate about the subject being portrayed. All international artists, professional and amateur and all art mediums will be considered: photography, wall sculpture, fabric, mixed media, all paintings and drawings including, oil, acrylic, pastels, ink, graphite, etc. Work must be able to be hung on a wall. Sizes up to 12 feet are acceptable. Video submissions will be displayed online only. Accepted entries for this online exhibition will be judged again for a collective live exhibition at our Pasadena Gallery. The artists will be asked if they wish to submit their artwork for the collective exhibition, which is not a requirement to being a part of the online exhibition. The Church of St. John on the Mountain seeks artists for its annual juried art show, October 19-27, 2013 in Bernardsville, New Jersey. $1000 Best in Show, several $250 Awards of Excellence and several Honorable Mentions. Sugarloaf Craft Festivals is seeking artists for its Fall 2013 juried art festivals: Oct 3-5, Oct 11-13, Oct 25-27, Nov 1-3, Nov 22-24, Dec 13-15. Work must be original design. Artist must be present all 3 show days to sell and discuss their work. Last year, artists sold more than $14.4 million in fine arts and contemporary crafts to more than 164,000 enthusiastic visitors at Sugarloaf shows. Both sales and attendance were up between 5% and 10% over the previous year. Accepting applications until shows are filled. $20/season application fee. Booth fees vary by show.
