While there are other sources for grants and fellowships in photography, the chance to have the editorial, design, production, and marketing support to realize a body of work in print is rare: The prize's focus is on creating an opportunity for photographers who are engaged in the creation of a continued, active, and vital body of work to publish a first book. The Artist or Craftsperson who designs the work and is a principal of the business must be present to show their work. All work must be original and completely finished. Embracing Our Differences (Posted: 7/29/16) -- Embracing Our Differences is accepting submissions for its 14th annual outdoor juried art exhibit celebrating diversity and inclusion to be displayed April - May 2017 in Sarasota, FL USA. $3,000 in awards. 42 artists will be selected and national and international submissions are encouraged. Since 2004, the exhibit has been viewed by more than 2,200,000 visitors. Final selections will be made by a 3-judge panel of art professionals. No entry fee. Deadline: January 10, 2017.
