Call for Artists - 8 Solo Shows in Spain

Associazione Radar announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition in 2017 at 8 Galleries in Spain (Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, etc.). RADAR is an open call for artists that want to establish collaborations in Spain. The jury is composed of 8 professional galleries interested in new projects to be exhibited. Each of the 8 galleries, located in the most important Spanish areas for contemporary art, will choose one artist to realise a solo event that can be a prelude to a long-lasting collaboration. Malamegi announces a call to artists for the Lab.7 art contest. Art Olympia 2017

Artists are invited to enter the second Art Olympia, held June 17-25, 2017 at the Toshima Ward Office Building in Tokyo, Japan. Total amount of cash and extra prizes: Approx. US$500,000. Total number of winners: Approx. 180 persons. Jurors: Florence Derieux, Brett Littman, Simon Njami, Chu Teh-I, Kara Vander Weg, Akiko Endo, Toyomi Hoshina, Aomi Okabe, Hiroshi Senju. Two-dimensional artworks only; photographic works also accepted. Artworks, submitted from around the world, will first be reviewed at regional entry bases and then finally in Tokyo. A primary review will be done by using the images of artworks and the final review with real artworks. Moreover, the final review will use a point-rating system, allowing the public to check the reviewing process. General submission: $60 for 1 image, $100 for 2 images, $140 for 3 images. The Humanity Photo Awards 2017

The Humanity Photo Awards (HPA) is a biennial photography contest focusing on folklore cultures, including portrait & costume, architecture, living custom, production & commerce, festivities and traditional rites. It was founded in 1998 by the China Folklore Photographic Association and was blessed with UNESCO's support since its 2nd session in 2000. Transport allowances will be provided to more than 66 prize-winning photographers so they can attend the Award Ceremony in China, and related events that last for 3 to 6 days. 6 Grand Award winners will also receive cash prizes of US$2,000. Open to all photographers. HPA 2017 is a photo contest that devotes itself to documenting, sharing and celebrating the diversity of cultures in the world.
