Montana Watercolor Society Watermedia 2018

The Montana Water Color Society seeks entries for their annual juried exhibition, October 5 - November 7, 2018 at the Bigfork Art & Cultural Center in Bigfork, Montana. Over $5,000 in cash and prizes. Juror: Bev Jozwiak. Watermedia 2018 is open to U.S. artists 18 years or older. Entries must be the original creation of the artist, with no supervision of an instructor or class work, and made within the last two years (after January 1, 2016). Only works hand-executed in aqueous media (watercolor, acrylic, gouache, ink) on paper supports. Paper supports include watercolor paper, synthetic paper (Yupo is accepted), paper mounted on board, archival illustration board. Collages must be in conjunction and consistent with watermedia, no surface constructions. Watermedia must be the dominant element if a collage. The only collage allowed is paper, hand painted by artist. Photographs or printed materials as collage are not allowed. No pastels, water-soluble oil paints, egg tempera, or computer-created images. Minimum image size is 80 square inches, length x width, mat opening (Example: 8"x10" = 80 square inches). Maximum frame size for paintings is 44" x 44". Maximum weight is 50 pounds. Wasatch Plein Air Paradise 2018

The Midway Art Association (MAA) is pleased to announce the 13th annual Wasatch Plein Air Paradise (WPAP) painting competition and exhibition to take place at the Midway Town Hall (Midway, Utah) June 23rd - July 4th, 2018. Wasatch Plein Air Paradise is now one of the largest in Utah with over 100 artists of all levels from Utah and surrounding areas competing for over $12,000 in awards and prizes. This signature event of the Midway Art Association is the main fundraiser for our non-profit group, which provides art education, demonstrations, competitions and scholarships for deserving students. Call for Intermountain West Artists

Flow Art Space in Salt Lake City, UT announces a call to artists for upcoming art exhibitions, fall or winter 2018, or spring 2019. Juror: Melissa Metzler. 2D media with diverse subject matter and a unique approach to creating art are currently sought for exhibition and sale.
