Expressions

The California Art League announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, May 30 - June 23, 2018 at the San Fernando Valley Arts and Cultural Center in Tarzana, CA. Over $1,500 in awards. Juror: Joseph Cibere. Artwork submissions are limited to five (5) original artworks per artist in the following media: drawing, photographs and digital art, mixed media and painting and sculpture. All works on paper must be matted, framed and covered with glass or Plexiglas. Entries must be dry, properly prepared for exhibition and properly equipped with wire for hanging. Gallery wrapped canvas does not require framing unless the edges are unfinished. Maximum weight for any artwork is 10 lbs. per foot of lineal width. Damaged artwork, mats, frames, glass and Plexiglas, and frames which have brackets will not be accepted. One or two entries: $40 for CAL members in good standing, and $55 for non-CAL members. The Associated Arts of Ocean Shores seeks entries for an upcoming art exhibition, April 27-29, 2018 at the Ocean Shores Convention Center in Ocean Shores, WA. Museum of Exploration and Innovation 2018-19

MOXI (The Wolf Museum of Exploration and Innovation) was recently listed by Fodor's Travel as one of the top 10 new museums in the world, and is based in Santa Barbara, CA. MOXI has two spaces dedicated to rotating 3-month interactive media art installations, and has opened the application process for artist and art collectives to propose works for these spaces for 2018/2019. Artworks should be interactive and designed to be highly robust to accommodate active children and family visitors. Total budgets can be up to $10,000. Coos Art Museum in Coos Bay, Oregon announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, July 14 - September 29, 2018. Best of Show $750, Port of Coos Bay Award $250, Directors Choice $250, People's Choice Award $250, 4 Honorable Mention awards. Jurors: Austin Dwyer, Louis Stephen Gadal, Harold W. White Cube Artist Residency - New Mexico

Annex:art is accepting proposals for its annual White Cube residency in San Fidel, NM. The residency is available for 2 - 4 weeks, includes studio work space, living accommodations, $1000 stipend and an exhibition of the completed work. Each year Annex:art offers its White Cube Residency in San Fidel, New Mexico. This short-term, sponsored residency program is being offered in cooperation with Gallery 66, located in the historic Acoma Curio Shop. Call for Intermountain West Artists

Flow Art Space in Salt Lake City, UT announces a call to artists for upcoming art exhibitions, fall or winter 2018, or spring 2019. Juror: Melissa Metzler. 2D media with diverse subject matter and a unique approach to creating art are currently sought for exhibition and sale. Drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, fiber, collage, encaustic, mixed media, recycled materials, digital art, video, and installation will be considered. Artists must be 18+ years of age to submit their work. Selected artists must hand-deliver art that is accepted. There are several main criteria for selection: unique subject matter; a unique approach to creating art; or an important message. One of these criteria must be combined with high-quality artistic execution in order to be considered. There are two application deadlines: June 27th at midnight for fall 2018 exhibitions.
