Out of the Box: A Juried Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition (Posted: 5/5/15) -- Out of the Box is a national juried competition presented biennially by Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art, Auburn University (JCSM). This year's juror, Willie Cole, will select 10 sculptures for display on the museum's grounds from October 2, 2015-October 2, 2016. Prizes totaling $15,000 will be awarded. "Still Life II" Art Call (Posted: 6/5/15) -- Art-Competition.net seeks entries for an online art competition. $1,500 in cash and $6,825 in prizes. 5th Annual Holga & More Out of the Box (on creativity that is) International Photography Competition (Posted: 5/14/15) -- The TCC Photo | Gallery in Longview, TX seeks entries for a juried photography exhibition, October 1 - November 13, 2015. Awards: $900 and Diana F and film for 1st Place. Juror: Michelle Bates. Open to amateur and professional photographers around the globe that use a toy camera or an element of it. Photographs, of your choice of subject matter made with a any low-end, low-tech, limited-control camera - such as pinhole, Holga, Diana, Konstruktor F, Brownies, Anscos, and other Lomo products - will be accepted. 35th Faber Birren National Color Show (Posted: 5/29/15) -- The Stamford Art Association seeks entries for a juried art exhibition, October 4-November 5, 2015 in Stamford, CT. $2500 in awards. Juror: Anna Swinbourne, Ph.D, Independent curator and former MOMA Painting curator. The late Faber Birren, world renowned color consultant and author of 27 books on color endowed the Faber Birren Color Award for original and creative use of color. This competition is the only artistic event devoted exclusively to the use of color. Art for Awhile Sculpture Program (Posted: 7/1/15) -- The Broomfield Public Art Committee seeks artists to participate in the 2016 Art for Awhile Sculpture Project, October 29, 2015 - March 1, 2017 in Broomfield, Colorado. $1000 honorium. A $1,000 cash award is given to the artist voted by the Broomfield community to be "Broomfield's Choice." The sculptures will be installed outside and exposed to the elements. The Beverly Hills Art Show (Posted: 6/26/15) -- (oil painting by Pete Tillach, Tall Poppies, 2014) The Beverly Hills Art Show has now been sponsored by the City of Beverly Hills for 41 years. It attracts 40,000 spectators from the surrounding area and its many hotels, which host visitors from around the world. Artists exhibit their work outdoors on the grassy terrain of historic Beverly Gardens Park between Rodeo and Rexford Drives, October 17 & 18, 2015. It is one of the largest and most respected outdoor shows on the west coast, attracting artists from all over the country, and some of L.A.'s finest. Total dollar amount of awards is $4,500. International male artists (excluding U.S. citizens) are asked to interpret how they perceive the masculinity of the U.S. male. Exhibition guidelines require artworks to be 5in x 7in (13cmx18cm). Submission is free. Artists can submit multiple artworks. All mediums are accepted. Artworks will not be returned. Submissions will become part of the permanent collection of the Gender Studies program and possibly used for publication. Deadline: March 1, 2016. Unauthorized/Unofficial LILY TOMLIN Art Show (Posted: 7/2/15) -- Fe Gallery in Sacramento, CA announces a call to artists for an art exhibition to be held August 13, 2016 - September 29, 2016. Best in Show Vote by Public. Artists interpretation of Lily Tomlin. Only original art will be accepted: All genres are welcome sculptures, paintings, drawings.... All art must be delivered and for sale. (Art may be mailed/ups/fedex - artist pays for shipping to and fro) FE gallery takes 40% commission on any art sold. At the time of submission it does not need to be the actual "Lily Tomlin" art piece but something that represents the quality of your work, however, only original interpretations of Lily Tomlin will be displayed in this show.
