New American Paintings 2015 Northeastern Competition (Posted: 7/21/15) -- New American Paintings is a museum-quality, soft-cover art periodical, published bimonthly by The Open Studios Press. Each 184 page volume is a regional exhibition-in-print, selling for $20 at 1,500 bookstores, museum shops and art supply stores nationwide. The Walter Feldman Fellowship for Emerging Artists (Posted: 8/13/15) -- This year's juror is Liz Munsell, Assistant Curator of Contemporary Art & MFA Programs at the Musuem of Fine Arts, Boston. Six or more finalists will be selected for a group show to open in November 2015. From this group show, two winners will be chosen to receive solo exhibitions at the A&BC's Walter Feldman Gallery in Boston's Fort Point neighborhood in 2016, and more... Open to all New England-based painters and mixed media artists (photography and sculpture excluded). Applicant must be under 40 years old as of submission deadline. Harford County International Plein Air Art Festival (Posted: 8/13/15) -- The Center for the Arts in Bel Air, MD announces a call to artists for a paint out, exhibition and sale, October 7-11, 2015. 1st Place- $500, 2nd Place- $250, 3rd Place- $100. Harford County offers artists picturesque landscapes adorned with sprawling horse farms, rambling hills, and expansive woodscapes; bustling town centers; and historic harbor towns. "ArtCards to Connect" (Posted: 7/23/15) -- Exhibit your art at a Manhattan gallery and raise money for children's charities. The TAMABI NY Club is hosting a fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City, The Children's Aid Society, and New Yorkers for Children. No entrance fee. The show is open to all artists who agree to donate their piece to the fundraiser. Submit up to three finished 2-D artworks on 4" x 6" paper. Photographs are accepted. Kissimmee Sculpture Experience (Posted: 6/11/15) -- Kissimmee Main Street is looking for amazing artists to take part in the 9th annual Kissimmee Sculpture Experience, October 2015-September 2016. It is an outdoor exhibit and sculptures will be placed around Downtown Kissimmee on 16 bases. 2016 Hunting Art Prize (Posted: 7/31/15) -- Hunting PLC seeks entries for the 2016 Hunting Art Prize, giving artists in Texas an opportunity to vie for a $50,000 prize. The competition is open to artists who are legal residents of Texas and at least 18 years of age or older by Aug. 1, 2015. Artists can participate by completing the electronic sign up form and uploading one digital image of their artwork. A single two-dimensional piece that complies with the terms and conditions may be submitted for the prize. Image and Illusion: Constructing Perceptions of U.S. Masculinity (Posted: 6/11/15) -- The Know Art Project, in conjunction with the Gender Studies Program and the Art Department of Slippery Rock University (Slippery Rock, PA, USA), seeks entries for a non-juried exhibition, March 21-25, 2016 at the Martha Gault Art Gallery. International male artists (excluding U.S. citizens) are asked to interpret how they perceive the masculinity of the U.S. male. Exhibition guidelines require artworks to be 5in x 7in (13cmx18cm).
