The Paseo 2017 nighttime art festival

New American Paintings 2017 Western Competition

New American Paintings is a museum-quality, soft-cover art periodical, published bimonthly by The Open Studios Press. Each 184 page volume is a regional exhibition-in-print, selling for $20 at 1,500 bookstores, museum shops and art supply stores nationwide. Projekt30's June 2017 Exhibition

Projekt30 is accepting submissions for our new June 2017 publicly juried online exhibition. We are an artist-run arts organization dedicated to promoting emerging artists. The exhibition will include up to thirty artists; invitations will be sent to over 30,000 galleries, collectors, and fellow artists. Visitors have the option of contacting any participating artist with feedback and opportunities. As of Nov. 2016 over 200,000 messages have been sent to participating artists. The Stevens County History Museum in Morris, MN announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, June 22 - November 10. Awards for People's Choice, Artists Choice. CDS Dorothea Lange-Paul Taylor Prize

The Dorothea Lange-Paul Taylor Prize is a $10,000 award given annually by the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University in Durham, NC to support documentary artists, working alone or in teams, who are involved in extended, ongoing fieldwork projects that rely on and exploit the interplay of words and images. Competitive applicants to this prize have a point of view derived from an in-depth understanding of place, history, and the current situation, in concert with a personal relationship to the proposed work. Ultimately, their commitment is to use documentary expression to motivate the thinking and reflection of others. Using the online submission system, submit up to 19 images, 15 pages of double-spaced writing, and/or 10 minutes of time-based media. 6th Annual Square Foot Show

The Bismarck Art & Galleries Association (BAGA) seeks entries for the 6th Annual Square Foot Show, August 1-25, 2017 in Bismarck, North Dakota. The show is open to all artists 18 years old or older. All artwork must be completed on the 12"x12" canvas provided by BAGA (Canvases are mailed when entry fee is received). Artwork must be signed with name printed clearly on the back. Canvases cannot be altered in size or shape and must be painted on a square grid, not angled. Artwork must be wired for hanging, no saw tooth hangers. All edges of the canvas must be painted. Artwork will be for sale at $130 each (taxes not included.) BAGA takes 30% commission. This is a book project of Manifest Press, an extension of Manifest Creative Research Gallery and Drawing Center, calling for submissions of original works, created within 2014-2017.
