24th annual Washburn University Outdoor Sculpture Competition

Washburn University in Topeka, KS announces a call to artists for the 24th annual Washburn University Outdoor Sculpture Competition. Up to seven sculptures will be chosen for display on Washburn's beautiful campus for a year from August 2019 through July 2020. The seven sculptures are highlighted in a beautiful brochure and displayed to thousands of visitors to the campus. Winners receive a $1,500 honorarium. The competition is open to artists around the world. Entries must be submitted as digital images on a CD/DVD, thumb drive or via direct upload through the link on the competition's webpage. $25 for up to five sculptures. Deadline: May 31, 2019. Solo, Group & Concept Submissions (Season 16: 2019/2020)

Manifest in Cincinnati, OH is happy to receive proposals of various types and accepts these on an ongoing basis starting usually in late winter, reviewing them starting in early June in consideration for the upcoming exhibit season. No notifications are made until the final season schedule is decided (usually by the end of July). Anyone can submit a proposal, and selections are open to all traditional and non-traditional genre and media. On average, one-third of Manifest's exhibits are dedicated to solo exhibits. Solo exhibitors have included local, regional, and national artists from as far away as New York City, San Francisco, Canada, and Hong Kong. Our exhibits are routinely reviewed in local and sometimes national news and art publications (including Sculpture Magazine, Drawing Magazine, and Art Papers among others). $50 entry fee. Earth Elements - International Landscape Exhibition

The Prairie Village Arts Council announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, July 1-30, 2019 at The R.G. Endres Gallery in Prairie Village, Kansas. Nude: Exploring the Uncovered Human Form in Current Art

The Cincinnati based non-profit arts organization and gallery, Manifest, invites visual artists and designers to submit works that in some way represent the uncovered human form for consideration in Manifest's eleventh annual Nude, an international competitive exhibit, August 16 - September 13, 2019. Through all the permutations art has experienced across history, work of the body persists. We use the human nude to master skill, understand ourselves, and push social and psychological buttons for the sake of expression (sensual, delicate, political, aggressive, and so on). The Southside Art League announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, October 4-26, 2019 at the Garfield Park Art Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. Awards will total a minimum of $2,000 in cash. Juror: Matthew W. Litteken. Open to all artists, 18 years of age and over, who currently reside in the US. Each artist may submit a maximum of 3 works. All work must be original, and completed within the last 3 years. Any work executed in class or under supervision of an instructor, copies of paintings or published photos, or improper subject matter is prohibited.
