2027 Sculptures on the Square: Constructing Art

Troy Main Street announces a call to artists for an outdoor sculpture exhibition, June 21 - October 8, 2027 in Downtown Troy, Ohio. $1,500 stipend. "Constructing Art" explores the intersection of building and belonging, preservation and progress, history and innovation. We invite artists to consider not only the physical act of construction but the many ways communities are built through collaboration, craftsmanship, resilience, stewardship, and imagination. We encourage broad interpretations of the theme. Artists are encouraged, though not required, to incorporate materials traditionally associated with construction or infrastructure into their work. Whether abstract or representational, whimsical or contemplative, we encourage works that invite curiosity, conversation, and interaction with the public. Must be family-friendly. The exhibition is open to professional and emerging sculptors and collaborative teams working in all durable outdoor media. No entry fee. Deadline: October 18, 2026. More info. Contact: email or call 937-339-5455.
