Sunset Hills Makers Market 2019

The Sunset Hills Parks and Recreation Department invites artists to apply for the Sunset Hills Makers Market, an outdoor juried art and craft fair held April 27, 2019 in Sunset Hills, Missouri and set in the popular Watson Trail Park. We are looking for a diverse group of artisans, crafters and makers of all mediums and price points including; Clay, glass, metal, fiber, wood, paper, literary, music and more. St. Joseph Sculpture Walk Call for Sculptors

St. Joseph Sculpture Walk (Saint Joseph, Missouri) is open to professional and amateur sculptors. Selected sculptures/sculptors will receive a $500 honorarium and all sculptures selected will be competing for up to $13,000 in cash prize awards. Artists must own the rights to the artwork and the sculpture must be available for the duration of the one-year contract (June 2019-May 2020). All submissions must be professionally constructed of durable materials that will withstand the elements. All durable outdoor media are encouraged. Must be 18 years old or older. Entry requires submission of a brief biography, concise CV/resume, artist's statement/ description of the sculpture submitted, and directions for installation and removal. Drawn: An Exhibition of Contemporary Drawing

The Cincinnati based non-profit arts organization and gallery, Manifest, presents an open call for artwork exploring contemporary drawing. The exhibit will take place April 19 - May 17, 2019. Drawn seeks to survey and present the broad scope of drawing being made today. This gallery exhibit is completely separate from the annual INDA publication project. The Cincinnati based non-profit arts organization and gallery, Manifest, presents an open call for artwork about or made using packing materials for an exhibit to be held April 19 - May 17, 2019. Selected works are eligible for the annual $2,500 Grand Jury Prize. The stuff is all around us, to the point of becoming a global bio-crisis, yet at Manifest we have seen sublime and compelling works of art give new life and meaning to such cast-off materials. Secondary Meanings | Figural Diptychs

This issue of PoetsArtists and the accompanying exhibition at Zhou B Art Center in Chicago seeks the "multi-panel" artwork. Jurors: Steven Alan Bennett and Dr. Elaine Melotti Schmidt. The multi-panel work of art, usually a diptych or triptych, provides enormous creative opportunities for visual artists because it supplies expansive and varied ways for an artist to speak using juxtaposition, contrast, comparison, expansion, connection and separation. Included within the call are diptychs, triptychs and polytychs (images with more than three panels). Acceptable media includes painting, prints, drawing, and photography. Sculpture is also acceptable if it includes two or more different pieces that are thematically related and make sense when exhibited together. 3rd Annual Impressions Small Works Showcase

The American Impressionist Society Inc. seeks entries for a juried art exhibition, June 1 - August 31, 2019 at Crooked Tree Arts Center in Petoskey, Michigan. $4,000 Best of Show, plus numerous other awards. Juror: Camille Przewodek, AIS Master. Must be a current member of the American Impressionist Society (annual dues $60) and a legal resident of the US. Medium: Oil, Acrylic, Pastels, Watercolor or Gouache. No mixed media, photography, digital or any other media. No digitally manipulated work, reproductions, or painted-over photos. Work must be original in concept and execution, impressionistic in style, and completed within the last three years. Work done in any class and/or under the guidance of an instructor is not eligible. Art Spectacular at the Carillon

The Rees Carillon Society seeks artists for a juried fine art fair on September 14-15, 2019. $1,300 in awards. Ranked #18 in the "200 Best Art Shows in the United States" by Sunshine Artist Magazine, the 14th annual Art Spectacular is professionally juried for quality and media balance. It's held on the lawn of beautiful Washington Park in Springfield, IL - next to a wealthy neighborhood of art-buying, appreciative and knowledgeable aficionados who love At Spectacular. Art Spectacular is a fund raiser for the non-profit world-class Rees Memorial Carillon in Washington Park, the 6th largest carillon in the world.
