25th Annual Juried Art Exhibit, Jasper Community Arts

The Krempp Gallery at the Jasper Arts Center in Jasper, IN encourages artists to submit applications for the 25th Annual Juried Art Show, September 5-28, 2018. $2,000 in Merit Awards. Juror: John Begley. Only artists who are current or former residents of Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan or Ohio can apply. Artwork may be 2-D or 3-D. Size restricted to 72 x 90 in. with a weight limit not to exceed 100 lbs. Digital images can be sent via mail or email. The Nicolet College Art Gallery and The Northern Arts Council announce a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, September 29 - November 9, 2018 at the Nicolet College Art Gallery in Rhinelander, WI. The Anton Art Center in Mount Clemens, MI invites visual art submissions for Motherhood, a juried visual art exhibition featuring works of varying media on the complexity of motherhood, July 28 - September 5, 2018. $900.00 USD in awards. National Call for Entries - 7th Annual Encaustic Exhibition

Morpho Gallery in Chicago, IL seeks entries for a juried art exhibition, August 24th - September 22nd. Jurors: Kathy Blankley Roman & Dan Addington. The exhibit is open to artists who work in the encaustic medium. Mixed media is welcomed, but encaustic must be the primary medium. This year we will allow 3D work as well as 2D. Maximum 2D dimensions should not exceed 28" per side, including frame or support, minimum size: 8"x8" or 16 running inches (H+L). 3D works not to exceed 28" in all dimensions including mount, if applicable. Jurying will be done from jpeg images only. See prospectus for specific submission requirements. Accepted works must be professionally presented: framed or with finished edges, wired for hanging and with a label affixed to the back with the artist's name and title of work. No clip frames. Exposed edges and back must be clean. Works with special installation or assembly requirements must have concise instructions included or the artist must be available to assist with the installation. $25 for 3 images, $5 for each additional image, limited to 6 total. NAVS' Art for Animals Contest 2018

The National Anti-Vivisection Society announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition in Chicago, IL. Cash prizes will be given to First, Second and Third Place winners, one Youth (age 12 and under) winner, and one Best in Show winner. NAVS' Art for Animals contest provides an opportunity for artists of all skills and ages to create images that inspire others to extend compassion, respect and justice to all animals. For our 2018 competition, we are also looking for fresh perspectives to illustrate NAVS' mission of ending the exploitation of animals used in science. Manifest Gallery in Cincinnati, OH seeks entries for a juried photography exhibition, September 28 - October 26, 2018. The Bennett Prize

The Pittsburgh Foundation & The Muskegon Museum of Art (MMA) announce a call to artists for The Bennett Prize. Ten (10) finalists will each receive $1,000 to participate in a traveling exhibition. One woman receives $50,000 and a solo exhibition. Jurors: Steven Alan Bennett (The Bennett Prize), Art Martin (The Muskegon Museum of Art), Andrea Kowch (Artist), Maria Tomasula (University of Notre Dame). Open only to living women artists who: Are eighteen (18) years or older, Reside in the United States (at least part of the year), Will submit work (and work for any exhibition) that does not have to cross an international border to reach MMA, Have primary practice as the creation of original paintings in the genre of figurative realism, Are currently pursuing, or intend to pursue, a career as a full-time painter and will not be a student during The Prize residency. Artists must have works available for exhibition and travel from Feb. 1, 2019 through at least the end of 2021. All entries must be traditional paintings, which is defined as paint upon a two-dimensional surface. Mixed media pieces will be considered, as long as paint is the primary material. Paintings must depict representational images of one or more figures. Paintings rendered over photographic images are not eligible.
