Gadsden Art Association announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, August 20 - September 30, 2019 at the Gadsden Museum of Art in Gadsden, Alabama. Cash Prizes up to $2,000. Call for Entries for Exhibitions in January through August 2020

artspace in Richmond, VA seeks proposals for monthly shows, January through August 2020. All fine art mediums accepted including video and installations. Work exhibited should have been completed within the last 5 years of exhibition date unless the proposal is for a retrospective. Proposals may be made for individual, group or joint shows. Joint shows are exhibitions for two artists with inter-related works who intend for their works to be shown together in the same gallery. Artists or curators may apply for group shows. SCWS Annual National Exhibition

The SC Watermedia Society announces a call to artists for a national juried art exhibition, November 2 - December 20, 2019 at University Place in Florence, SC. Juror: Ryan Fox. All entries must be executed in watermedia, such as watercolor, acrylic, gouache, etc. Collage is acceptable, however, the painting must be primarily composed of a painted surface. (No oils or water soluble oils accepted). Work may be produced on any surface that will allow framing (required) unless work is created on a canvas with finished edges (or gallery wrapped). Contrive: A National Exhibition of Photo Manipulation and Surreal Photography

d'Art Center in Norfolk, Virginia seeks entries for a juried photography exhibition, September 14 - October 8. Awards for 1st: $500, 2nd: $300, 3rd: $150. Contrive is a national juried exhibition that features surreal photography and photo manipulation. Open to all photography that involves transforming or altering a photograph using either digital or physical methods, such as long or double exposures, compositing, or digital software as well as photography that is surreal in content. Throughout history, photographers have created their own worlds using darkroom tricks and optical illusions. Today we can create our own peculiar worlds using real-life objects/settings, editing programs, or both. The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas in Pine Bluff, Arkansas announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, October 10, 2019 - January 4, 2020. $2,000 in purchase awards, $2,000 price awards, $1,000 in Best in Show. Juror: Joseph Givens. Artists must be 18 years or older and reside in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas or Missouri. The City of Ocala, FL announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, January 6, 2020 - January 17, 2022 at Tuscawilla Park. Honorarium: $2000, Best in Show: $2,000, 2nd Place: $1,000, Honorable Mention: $500, People's Choice: $500, Grand Total $24,000. This year's Merit Juror is Ife Williams, artist and Executive Director at the Hudgens Center for the Arts. Open to artists currently working and residing in the U.S. with experience designing, fabricating, and installing large outdoor Public Art. All work must meet the following criteria to be eligible for consideration: Be able to withstand a high traffic, public, family park environment for a period of two years, while taking into consideration the safety of the audience and other outdoor elements. Be capable of withstanding adverse weather conditions. Be maintenance free for the duration of the two-year exhibition. Work must have been completed within the last five years (2014 or after). Be built in a manner to allow fastening to a concrete pad with anchor bolts measuring 5/8" (unless an optional anchoring system is provided by the artist and approved by the City prior to installation). Artisanville - A Community of Artists 2019

Announcing a "call to artists" for Artisanville, a unique indoor Fine Art and Fine Craft Show, coming to the beautiful Greenville Convention Center in Greenville, South Carolina, this November 2-3, 2019. The mission of Artisanville is to showcase remarkable and distinctive artists by giving them the opportunity to connect and sell to our local and international art-buying community. Media eligible include, glass, pottery, fiber/textile/leather, jewelry, metal work, woodwork, painting/drawing, printmaking, digital, mixed media, photography, sculpture, paper, décor, functional and recycled materials.
