Traffic Box Art RFQ - Odessa, TX

Odessa Arts is seeking applications from artists and designers interested in creating artwork for four electrical boxes at the intersections of 52nd & Tanglewood, 52nd & JBS Parkway, and the East and West Entrances of Music City Mall. The boxes will become part of an Outdoor Gallery of Public Art, joining twenty already completed boxes. The completed boxes will be unveiled in Spring 2019. One artist or designer will be selected for this opportunity and will be paid an all-inclusive fee of $4000 to create the artwork. We are seeking an artist or designer who will approach the boxes as a family of art works and can create a unified and artistically interesting body of work. Artist-in-residence

Webb School of Knoxville is inviting applications from visiting artists for our 2019-2020 artist-in-residence program. Visiting artists arrive in October or February and spend five weeks on campus in Knoxville, TN. Artists work with our students part time and in their own studios part time. Artists are asked to mount an exhibition and donate a representative piece upon completion of their residency. RCAS 53rd Annual Regional Juried Art Exhibition and Sale

The Richardson Civic Art Society announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, May 1-28, 2019 at the Charles W. Eisemann Center in Richardson, TX. Photographic call for entry "photographic performance 2019"

Do you have a body of work or a concept for an exhibition that is photography or photography based? A Smith Gallery in Johnson City, Texas is looking for compelling solo or cooperative exhibitions to fill its interior salon space. It can be only photographic images, photography combined with mixed media, photography as sculpture, photography based installations or..... This is the third year for "the photographic performance" and we are hoping once again you can show us what it can be. It is important that the body of work has a conceptual narrative, actual or implied. Four exhibition proposals will be selected to be exhibited in the Salon from either May 24 to June 23, June 28 to July 28, August 2 to September 1 or September 6 to September 29, 2019. 75th Waterford Fair

The Waterford Foundation Inc. announces a call to artists for the 75th Waterford Fair, held October 4-6, 2019 at the National Historic Landmark Village of Waterford, VA. 2019 Dorothea Lange-Paul Taylor Prize

A prize of $10,000 is given annually by the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University to support documentary artists, working alone or in teams, who are involved in extended, on-going fieldwork projects that rely on and exploit the interplay of words and images. The winner's work will also be published in the Center for Documentary Studies' digital publications and placed in the Archive of Documentary Arts at the Rubenstein Library at Duke University. Competitive applicants to this prize have a point of view derived from an in-depth understanding of place, history, and the current situation, in concert with a personal relationship to the proposed work. Ultimately, their commitment is to use documentary expression to motivate the thinking and reflection of others. A panel of writers, editors, and documentary artists will judge.
