Artists are invited to apply for the Lo Voglio! Art Show & Sale, Februrary 9, 2019 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Baltimore, MD. Drawings, Glass, Fibers, Floral, Leather, Metal Art, Mixed Media, Photography, Paintings, Pottery, Sculptures, Woodworking are accepted. Artists offering any of the above media are encouraged to apply. There are size restrictions, listed on the application. We highly recommend offering pieces that would be for sale under $500. Adkins Arboretum Juried Art Show Accepting Submissions

Adkins Arboretum in Ridgely, Maryland announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, February 5 - March 29, 2019. Leon Andrus Award 1st place: $300; Leon Andrus Award 2nd place: $200. Juror: Julie Wills. Digital images of up to three pieces of art by each artist should be sent to art@adkinsarboretum.org. Freedom: Art as the Messenger

The Cato Institute in Washington, DC seeks entries for its inaugural exhibition, April 11 to June 14, 2019. 10th Biennial Alexander Rutsch Award and Solo Exhibition for Painting

Pelham Art Center is pleased to announce a call for entries for the 10th biennial Alexander Rutsch Award and Exhibition for Painting. This juried competition is open to U.S.-based artists aged 19 and older. The winner is awarded a $5,000 cash prize and a solo exhibition at Pelham Art Center (Pelham, NY). Pelham Art Center is proud to sponsor this competition and award honoring the memory and artistic achievement of artist Alexander Rutsch (1916 - 1997). Rutsch actively supported Pelham Art Center for more than 25 years. Great Mills "Hornet" Community Sculpture Project

Great Mills High School (Great Mills, MD) is looking for a sculptor to design and create a sculpture that represents our connection to our community and school. The artist will receive community recognition via newspapers and websites. We are looking for the creation of a sculpture that shares our beliefs and our motto, "Forward Ever, Backward Never." The sculpture will be placed in the center of the Great Mills High School entrance. Surrounded by bricks with names of those who represent GMHS and tiles made by students and local artists, it will be lit by solar lighting to shine throughout the day and night. The Arnot Art Museum in Elmira, NY seeks entries for a juried art exhibition, March 15 - June 14, 2019. Up to $10,000 in cash awards. Artists must be 18 or older and live in Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, or Vermont. Although the Arnot Art Museum maintains a primary focus on representational art, the Museum welcomes the submission of non-objective work for the biennial Regional Exhibitions. All painting and drawing, media, sculpture, graphics, photography, clay, textiles, jewelry, wood or metal work, and mixed media are eligible. Works should not exceed 96 inches in any dimension or weigh more than 150 pounds. Works must be framed or otherwise ready for hanging/installation. The Earth Speaks V

Inspired: Contemporary Responses to a Legacy of Courage

The Susquehanna Art Museum in Harrisburg, PA announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, May 10 - August 18, 2019. Viewer's Choice Prize, $250. Juror: Lauren Nye. Works selected for this exhibition should provide a contemporary reflection on a pivotal moment (the Stonewall Riots) in American LGBTQ+ history. Submissions may consider the history of the LGBTQ+ community, the continued search for equity and inclusion both nationally and globally, social justice for marginalized groups, or other expressions of creativity inspired by the collection. 2019 Baltimore Fine Craft Show

Artists are invited to apply for the Baltimore Fine Craft Show, Aug. 29 - Sept. 1, 2019 at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, MD. Jurors: Michael Monroe, Lloyd Herman and Carol Sauvion. All work submitted must be original creations. The Craft Show is committed to presenting the most thoughtful, original, and skilled American & International craft and design objects. Eligible media: Basketry, ceramics, decorative fiber, furniture, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media, paper, wearable art, and wood. The artist should apply in the category that best describes his/her medium. For instance, a jewelry artist using metal should not apply in the metal category. Other media not listed above may be included in mixed media when combined with one of the Show's established media. If applying under mixed media, please explain in artist statement why mixed media is appropriate. Unacceptable media categories: Objects created by 3D printing technology, paintings, prints, graphics, photography, mass-produced work, soap, or objects made from commercial kits. In addition, works that incorporate materials and or parts acquired from the killing of endangered species (e.g., feathers, tusks), elephant or mammoth ivory, dried or silk flower arrangements, bonsai, embellished commercially-made objects (e.g., t-shirts, note cards, etc.) do not qualify.
