Transformations: Figures of the Other Self - Juried Call for Artists

Smithtown Township Arts Council announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, August 17 - September 14, 2019 at Mills Pond Gallery in St. James, New York. $1500 in awards. Juror: Carol Fabricatore. This exhibit explores the artist's take on what persona or alter ego is present in their artwork. Transform into something you would like to present as a public image of yourself. Solar Impressions Juried Exhibition

The Inspiration Plus Foundation announces a call to artists for a juried exhibition of the solarplate printmaking process, November 15 - December 29, 2019 at the Southampton Arts Center in Southampton, NY. Over $28,000 worth of prizes, consisting of 40 Awards! Including placement in solo shows, exhibitions and residencies, press and studio time, and gift certificates for products, supplies, and accessories. Awards selected by Juror Eric Fischl. The exhibition is open to all original print work with the emphasis on the solar plate polymer plate process, which all work must incorporate, although other mixed media techniques may be included in the same piece. *NYS Arts Professionals* Submit Your Art for Take Back the Walls

Calling all NYS Arts Professionals! Rochester Contemporary Art Center (RoCo) announces Take Back the Walls, a juried exhibition of artworks by New York State artists who also work in museums, galleries and arts organizations. This new, statewide project will highlight the many talented creatives employed by New York's numerous arts institutions and galleries, yet are often behind the scenes. RoCo invites employees of museums, visual art spaces and galleries to come into the light and take back the walls to which they have dedicated so much. Anyone who is employed by an arts organization in New York State is invited to submit work for display. The exhibition, juried by Karlos Carcamo, a multidisciplinary artist and a framer at The Museum of Modern Art in NYC, will be displayed August 31 - September 21, 2019. 2020 Solo and Group Exhibition Proposals

The Exhibitions Committee for the Rehoboth Art League is in the process of organizing solo and group exhibitions for 2020. This is a very competitive program as RAL can only accept a limited number of proposals each year. Artworks in any media will be reviewed. The RAL is situated in the town of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, a highly traveled area not only by the residents of this and the expanding surrounding communities, but also by art patrons from the Washington DC, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and New York metropolitan areas. Over 29,000 people participate in Rehoboth Art League programs annually. Special exhibitions have played an important part of our programming since the league's beginning, in 1938. The Guild of Boston Artists announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, August 31 - September 28, 2019 in Boston, MA. First Place $500; Second Place $250; Third Place $150. Lacawac Artists' Residencies 2019

Lacawac Sanctuary and Field Station is a nature preserve, biological field station, and environmental education center located near Lake Ariel, PA in the Pocono Mountains. Each year professional or aspiring artists are selected to spend time at Lacawac Sanctuary for either one or two weeks. During the residencies, artists are free to produce their artwork using the inspiration of the beauty that is Lacawac. Housing and limited studio space is provided. Artists are provided: a comfortable, rustic room in the Historic Watres Lodge or the Ice House; access to 545 acres which includes a glacial lake, 2 ponds, shore access to Lake Wallenpaupack, ledges natural area, and forests; interaction with scientists conducting research at Lacawac (May thru early August). $10 application fee.
