440 Gallery in Brooklyn, NY announces a call to artists for an art exhibition juried by Nicole Kaack, November 29 - December 28, 2018. Awards: Juror's Choice, 440 Choice, People's Choice. Open to artists who are at least 18 years old at the time of entry and who have a US shipping address. In 2019 Tyler Arboretum in Media, PA is celebrating its 75th anniversary as an Arboretum and will be hosting a major regional exhibit, April through October: Gateways to Nature. Tyler Arboretum is looking for creative exhibitors to design and build a structure or work that showcases their talents, and invites our broad regional audience to join us in discovering the natural world. We invite you help us bring our theme of Gateways to Nature to life by creating portals, gateways and thresholds to new experiences on our extensive grounds! Your concept could be an entry to a secret place, a window to a stunning view, a threshold to a unique landscape room, an allee that leads to a special place, or other opportunities that inspire our visitors to engage with and appreciate the natural world. Artists In Action 2018: A Short-Term Studio, Show & Sale Program

From January 11-February 26, 2019, Annmarie's spectacular Main Gallery will be transformed into temporary artist studios, providing a serene retreat and experimental space for artists to develop new works, display and sell their work, network with other artists, and share their creative process with visitors. Artists are invited to sign-up for 1-2 week periods, limited housing available. Artists working in any media may submit proposals. Studios will be set up much like a "booth," utilizing the artist's own supplies and equipment. Artists are encouraged to sell artwork in their booths. In addition, artists are asked to create an activity for visitors, as simple or as complex as you wish, that will allow visitors to experiment with your materials and creative process. $20 application fee. 10th Biennial Alexander Rutsch Award and Solo Exhibition for Painting

Pelham Art Center is pleased to announce a call for entries for the 10th biennial Alexander Rutsch Award and Exhibition for Painting. This juried competition is open to U.S.-based artists aged 19 and older. The winner is awarded a $5,000 cash prize and a solo exhibition at Pelham Art Center (Pelham, NY). Pelham Art Center is proud to sponsor this competition and award honoring the memory and artistic achievement of artist Alexander Rutsch (1916 - 1997). Rutsch actively supported Pelham Art Center for more than 25 years. After his death, friends, family and supporters established a generous fund to support a biennial, open, juried competition in painting. 76th Regional Exhibition Call for Entries

The Arnot Art Museum in Elmira, NY seeks entries for a juried art exhibition, March 15 - June 14, 2019. Up to $10,000 in cash awards. Artists must be 18 or older and live in Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, or Vermont. Although the Arnot Art Museum maintains a primary focus on representational art, the Museum welcomes the submission of non-objective work for the biennial Regional Exhibitions. All painting and drawing, media, sculpture, graphics, photography, clay, textiles, jewelry, wood or metal work, and mixed media are eligible. Works should not exceed 96 inches in any dimension or weigh more than 150 pounds. Works must be framed or otherwise ready for hanging/installation. Artists proposing to submit work requiring specialized installation should confer with Museum staff before the entry deadline. 2019 Baltimore Fine Craft Show

Artists are invited to apply for the Baltimore Fine Craft Show, Aug. 29 - Sept. 1, 2019 at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Jurors: Michael Monroe, Lloyd Herman and Carol Sauvion. All work submitted must be original creations. The Craft Show is committed to presenting the most thoughtful, original, and skilled American & International craft and design objects. Eligible media: Basketry, ceramics, decorative fiber, furniture, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media, paper, wearable art, and wood. The artist should apply in the category that best describes his/her medium. For instance, a jewelry artist using metal should not apply in the metal category. Other media not listed above may be included in mixed media when it is combined with one of the Show's established media. If applying under mixed media, please explain in artist statement why mixed media is appropriate. Unacceptable media categories: Objects created by 3D printing technology, paintings, prints, graphics, photography, mass-produced work, soap, or objects made from commercial kits. In addition, works that incorporate materials and or parts acquired from the killing of endangered species (e.g., feathers, tusks), elephant or mammoth ivory, dried or silk flower arrangements, bonsai, embellished commercially-made objects (e.g., t-shirts, note cards, etc.) do not qualify.
