The New Mexico Watercolor Society announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, October 7-28 at the New Mexico EXPO (State Fairgrounds) in Albuquerque, New Mexico. $600 Best of Show, $500 1st Place, $400 2nd Place, $300 3rd Place, plus additional awards. LACDA Fall 2018 International Juried Competition

Enter the Los Angeles Center for Digital Art's juried competition for digital art and photography. Curating Jurors: Joel Ferree, Director, LACMA Art + Technology Lab, L.A. County Museum of Art; Rex Bruce, Director, Los Angeles Center for Digital Art. Entrants submit three JPEG files of original work. All styles of artwork and photography where digital processes of any kind were integral to the creation of the images are acceptable. The selected winner receives 10 prints up to 44x60 inches on museum quality paper (approximately a $2,500-$3,000 value) to be shown in a solo exhibition in our main gallery, September 13 - October 6, 2018. 2019 MarinMOCA Artist In Residence

MarinMOCA invites applications from all artists over the age of 21 for a one-year studio residency at its campus in Novato, California, USA. This program is designed to encourage the creative, intellectual, and personal growth of emerging and established visual artists. The residency offers the artist the gift of time to experiment and realize new work while giving the community opportunities to connect and learn from the artist's art practice and knowledge. Artists working in all media are welcome to apply, but MarinMOCA cannot support the use of some hazardous materials or noise-intensive mediums. Studio space and $1,000 stipend provided. No housing provided. Residency Term: January 15 - December 31, 2019. The selected artist(s) will receive a stipend of $1,000 during their stay, with $500 provided at the start of the residency and the balance provided at the six-month point. All other costs for material or travel will be covered by the artist. Resident artists are required to offer 6-8 hours per month of public programming to the community. CWA 49th National Exhibition

The California Watercolor Association seeks entries for a juried art exhibition, January 11 - February 16, 2019 at Harrington Gallery in Pleasanton, CA. $14,000 anticipated in awards. Jurors: Iain Stewart and Karen Frey. Open to all artists 18 years or older. Paintings must be two-dimensional and primarily of watermedia on paper surface; Yupo and Tyvek are acceptable. Pastel or collage may be used as long as watermedia is the dominant element. No digital media, photography, prints, or reproductions. Source material and composition must be wholly original and not derived from any published images. Any photo reference material must be taken by the artist and is neither copyrighted nor published. Entries must be recent works completed within the last two years, entirely the work of the artist, and not shown previously in a CWA National Exhibition. All paintings must be for sale. Call for Intermountain West Artists

Flow Art Space in Salt Lake City, UT announces a call to artists for upcoming art exhibitions, fall or winter 2018, or spring 2019. Juror: Melissa Metzler. 2D media with diverse subject matter and a unique approach to creating art are currently sought for exhibition and sale. Drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, fiber, collage, encaustic, mixed media, recycled materials, digital art, video, and installation will be considered. Artists must be 18+ years of age to submit their work. Selected artists must hand-deliver art that is accepted. Fish and Wildlife Conservation Art Contest and Show

The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife seeks entries for an upcoming art contest to select the artwork, that will be featured on the 2019 Habitat Conservation Stamp and other promotional materials (e.g., art print, wine label). Proceeds will be used to benefit conservation of Oregon's native species and habitats. The winning artist will receive a $2,000 award. All ages and skill levels are welcome. Buffalo Creek Art Center artist residency

Buffalo Creek Art Center in Gardnerville, NV is a new summer artist residency for three-dimensional artists in metal, wood, ceramic and multimedia with an emphasis on traditional figurative and abstract works that encompass aesthetics and craftsmanship. Artist ages 18 and older may apply as well as international artists as long as they speak English. The residency starts June 1 and ends October 30. Artist can choose between a four, six or eight-week stay. Artists will be given free room and workspace and use of all the equipment. This unique thirty-four acre property includes a vineyard, fruit orchards, 8 ponds, a miniature train station and hiking trails.
