PaperWest: 2nd National Works on Paper Juried Exhibition

The Art & Art History Dept, University of Utah (Salt Lake City) announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, October 7 - November 1, 2019 at the Gittins Gallery. Cash prizes. Juror: Judith Brodsky. All artists (18 years and older) residing in the USA are eligible to enter up to 3 original works that are either constructed from paper, or utilize a paper support. Works in Book Arts, Collage, Digital Prints, Drawing, Painting, Photography, Printmaking (including Monoprints) and 3D Paper Works are eligible. Works must have been completed in the last two years. Current students and employees of the University of Utah are ineligible to apply. Maximum 2D framed size: 50 x 36 inches. Work must be framed. Maximum 3D size: 24 x 24 x 24 inches. Festival Park Tree Stump Carving

The Castle Rock Downtown Alliance seeks to commission a carving for the tree stump in Festival Park in Downtown Castle Rock, Colorado. Downtown Castle Rock Mural Application

The Castle Rock Downtown Alliance seeks to commission a mural (or murals) or other 2D artwork in Downtown Castle Rock, Colorado. The Downtown Alliance has up to $3,500 for the artwork. The Castle Rock Downtown Alliance has secured permission from several property owners who own buildings that are adjacent to an alley, to have a mural or other 2D artwork placed on their wall. If 2D artwork is proposed it would need to be able to be hung on a masonry wall, and could not protrude more than 3 inches. Artist are welcome to submit location specific pieces but are not required. The four location options include: Fort CPAs - 407 Wilcox Street; Bogey's West Record Store - 307 Third Street; SmarterChaos.com - 340 Third Street; Dazbog/Yolanda's Alley - 202 Wilcox Street. Peripheral Vision - Divergent Travel Photography

Fish and Wildlife Conservation Art Contest and Show

The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife would like to invite artists to participate in our annual Fish and Wildlife Conservation Art Contest. The winning artists will receive a $2,000 award, and the winning artwork will be featured on collector's stamps, art prints, and other merchandise (e.g., wine label). The department will organize an art show in November where all entries will be viewed by the public. Artist name and contact information will be displayed for all artists that are interested. All ages and skill levels welcome, and there is no entry fee. All entries, except the winning artwork, will be mailed back to the artist. The Wildlife Habitat Conservation Stamp Program supports conservation of priority fish and wildlife species of concern in Oregon. 50th Annual Scottsdale Arts Festival
