This is an intensive, hands-on drawing and painting program on how to develop a portrait. We will concentrate on the basic structure of developing the human head, drawing principles that will help attain the likeness of the person, color theory and color mixing of flesh colors. We will be drawing and painting from life. Sam D'Ambruoso will be painting with the class as well as completing a number of short demos to highlight certain points in the construction of the portrait. There will also be extensive one-on-one instruction for each participant during the entire 10 week program. This program is designed for beginners to advanced. Work in oil, pastels, graphite or charcoal. Demos in oils. Limited to six students.
