Wildacres Art Workshops - Digital Photography: the Thematic & the Narrative
October 25-31, 2010
Developing photographic themes and visual narratives from the land and culture of the Blue Ridge, students undertake their own personal project involving independent study and exploration, which is guided by the instructor. Critiques assess student progress, and the workshop culminates in a final slide show of each student project. DSLR cameras are recommended, although some higher-end Point and Shoot cameras that allow control of exposure, flash, ISO, aperture, etc., may be workable. Students need one of the following applications on their laptop: iPhoto, Aperture, Photoshop, Photoshop Elements or Lightroom. This class is for individuals with a basic level of competency in digital photography to insure they will not be hamstrung by technical problems like image sharpness, exposure mistakes, etc.
