Finding the Essence Within
May 23 - June 2, 2010 — Paint, sketch, explore and relax in the heart of the beautiful Dordogne region of Southwest France. Susan Adams is an exceptional teacher. Her strength lies in her ability to inspire her students to excellence and experience joy in the process. All levels welcome, however, previous painting experience is advised. Watercolor will be the predominant medium, but oils and acrylics are acceptable. We will work outdoors and inside the studio in a variety of genres, using sights, sounds, smells and textures of the area to inspire our work, whether it is plein air landscapes, still life, sketchbook drawings or abstractions. We will create pieces that combine the magic of the area with our own impression of the spirit within.  Website: http://www.rousset-perigord.org/LPRLibrary/2010/susanadams.shtml

Watercolor Energies and Composition
June 17-27, 2010 — Frank Webb is one of the nation's premier watercolor teachers and brings enthusiasm and energy to his classes, making painting an exhilarating enterprise. "My work proceeds from on-the-spot graphite drawings made from a lifetime of travels. Each drawing is edited, fused with design principles, and used as the model. With large flat brushes and plenty of water I approach the paper in a slam-bang initial wash, and end with the caress of a butterfly wing."  Website: http://www.artshow.com/webb
